[ RELEVANCE ]
Endostatin is a naturally-occurring, 20-kDa C-terminal fragment derived fromtype XVIII collagen. It is reported to serve as an anti-angiogenic agent, similar toangiostatin and thrombospondin. In-vitro studies have shown endostatin blocksthe proliferation and organization of endothelial cells into new blood vessels. Inanimal studies endostatin inhibited angiogenesis and growth of both primarytumo rs and secondary metastasis. Endostatin may also be useful as atherapeutic for inflammatory diseases like rheumatoid arthritis as well as Crohn’sdisease, diabetic retinopathy, psoriasis, and endometriosis by reducing theinfiltration of inflammatory cells through invading angiogenesis.

The antibody is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against endostatinconjugated to OVA. It has been selected for its ability to recognize endostatinin immunohistochemical staining and western blotting.
